Air Cooled Vintage H Essex Hot Air Caloric EngineUp for auction is a vintage h. Essex caloric engine circe 1903. This is a hot air (no steam) caloric engine. This engine does not run deu to the cylinder, which is the piece or sleave between the pistons and measures approx. 3 x 8 has developed a crack in it. It appears that it has been repaired before. The cylinder is a thin tubing which is heated from the bottom by some form of heatign unit (which is not with it). The pistons both still work freely. The cylinder will need to be replaced to put the engine in working order. There is a copy fo the patent office paper (as shown in the pictures) included with the engine. The paper states that it was patented mar. 24, 1903. The engine can be shipped or picked up ni hagerstown, md.
